Steve Godden - Director
Graduating from Claremont Teachers College in November 1972, Steve completed his Bachelor of Education in 1985, majoring in Computer Education. Steve has undertaken extensive teaching in both regional and metropolitan Western Australia.
Since 1985 Steve has been employed in various Educational roles such as Deputy Principal, Education Officer, Classroom Teacher as well as being an active member of school Parent and Citizen groups and a management consultant. |

Steve is a published author - having written both Tips for Teachers and co-authoring the popular Management and Leadership series You Lead They'll Follow. His latest books Teaching Values Across the Curriculum (Primary and Secondary Editions), Assessing Values, My Child’s Values and Modelling Values have all been written to support the Best Performance CLOSE Partnerships Values Education Program.
Steve is a Director of Best Performance Pty Ltd, a sports coach, husband and father.
Steve started Best Performance Consulting, in February 2000 after six years working with Dan Kehoe at Bentley Kehoe Consulting Group. The primary focus of the business is to assist schools with achieving the best performance for both students and teachers.
Steve's innovative and creative mind has resulted in several brilliant analysis tools and products being developed for education. Over 500 schools have employed his services as a general consultant, workshop facilitator, coach, mentor, data analyst, survey developer and student profiler. He has been a key note speaker, session presenter, organiser and host at many education conferences. Steve has been instrumental in the development of Data Analysis tools, in particular the NAPLAN and MSE analysis program, Student Values Profiling Processes, Performance Management processes for schools, Multiple Intelligence Student Profiling Tool, Community Surveys and the compilation of thousands of activities and strategies for the teaching, modelling and assessment of Values in schools.
Steve is passionate about education and what he can do to assist teachers and schools to deliver a better education to their students.

Luke George
- Director
Luke graduated
from Churchlands Teachers College in 1981 and was posted to Halls
Creek District High School for his baptism of fire. After enjoying
and successfully completing eight years with the Education Department,
Luke decided to explore what was to offer in the challenging world
of business.
Armed with a
Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management Luke went on to build
and on-sell several businesses, become a CEO of an Online Purchasing
company that was listed during the 2000 / 2001 technology revolution.
He eventually sold part of this business in 2002. |

While at a loose end, Luke met Steve at a Parent / Teacher night.
From this initial meeting Luke was sub-contracted to Steve until
a more permanent arrangement was finalised, this being when Steve
and Luke formed Best Performance Pty Ltd as equal share holding.
Luke's return
to his original Education career has proved to be most satisfying.
Twenty years of exposure to different educational environments,
business structures and a range of personalities helps Luke to interpret
the Curriculum Framework and deliver the message to the end users
- both teachers and students.
His entrepreneurial
drive and energy allows Luke the luxury of pursuing various interests.
This diversity has enabled him to pursue what he enjoys most - advancement
of education.
Luke is committed
to the well being of his family, friends and business associates
and has a passion for the improvement of community ideals and individual
enhancement.
He volunteers
his time in pursuing these principles through his position as Vice
President and an Age Manager of the City of Perth Surf Life Saving
Club, Performance Swim Team Coach and Captain of the Phantoms Water
Polo Team. |
